Live demo
Three sample jobs, nested by the same engine the app uses. Hover a part to find every copy of it, check the verification numbers, and see how the price comes out of the nest.

Three sample jobs, nested in advance by the same engine that nests your own drawings. Nothing to upload. Pick a job, then look at the sheets, the checks and the cost.
Pick a job
- Bracket set, 3 mm S235
- Plasma parts, 6 mm S235
- Stainless tabs, 1.5 mm 1.4301
The viewer is read-only. Hover a part to see its code and size; every copy of it on the sheet is highlighted. The sheet tabs switch between sheets, and the remnant on the last sheet is dimensioned. The Result panel gives the yield, the share of the steel consumed that became parts, with the cut length and the number of pierces. The nest is a drawing, not a picture.
What to look at
Verification
Every sheet is checked for overlaps, part gap, edge margin and parts outside the sheet. The panel prints the smallest part gap and the smallest edge margin measured on the sheet, each next to the required value. Each sheet passes or fails, with the numbers behind it.
What the gap and margin should be for your process and thickness: part gap and edge margin.
Other sheets tried
Each job was nested on every sheet size in the sample stock list, not on one size picked in advance. Other sheets tried lists each size with its sheet count and the steel consumed in m². The size that uses the least steel is marked, with one line on why it was chosen.
Cost on default rates
The cost panel prices the job from the nest: material from the steel consumed, in m² and kg; cut time from the cut length, the pierces, the contour starts and the travel; then a markup on material and a margin on machine time. Material and cutting each show the quantity, the rate and the amount; the markups show their percentage and the amount.
The hourly rate, the price per kg and the markups are defaults, and the panel says so. They show how the price is built, not what your shop charges. In an account, the same panel prices on your own machines, rates and materials.
How each line is calculated: quoting.
Nest a job of your own
Nest&Quote works in the browser: DXF in, cut files out. Take a job you cut last week and compare the sheet count with what you used.
